2011
iNet Founded
Infrastructure Networks (iNet) is founded in Houston, Texas, as a spectrum wholesale provider to critical infrastructure entities. The company sets out with a singular mission: bring reliable broadband connectivity to up-stream oil & gas operators working in the industry’s most remote and rugged environments.
2012
Spectrum Attained
iNet secures its first spectrum leases, covering the Eagle Ford and Bakken Shale areas. These licensed 700 MHz holdings lay the technical foundation for the private LTE network that will soon connect operators across some of the nation’s most active drilling regions.
2012
Altira Investment
Altira, a Colorado-based, energy-focused venture capital firm, joins iNet as an investor. Altira’s capital and strategic operational expertise help accelerate the company’s early network build-out and position iNet for its next phase of growth across the oil & gas industry.
2013
Network Build Out
iNet begins development of its private LTE network, combining FCC-licensed 700 MHz spectrum with VSAT services. This hybrid approach delivers dependable broadband where traditional carriers don’t reach, setting the stage for iNet’s end-to-end connectivity model.
2015
End-to-End Services
iNet launches its Solutions and Services division, moving beyond connectivity alone to support its core customer base with a full suite of managed services. The expansion marks iNet’s evolution from network provider to end-to-end technology partner.
2016
New Oil & Gas Offerings
iNet expands its service offerings to support Drilling Completions and Production Operations across the oil & gas industry. The new solutions extend iNet’s connectivity deeper into the field, keeping crews and equipment connected at every stage of the operation.
2018
Expanded Network Coverage
iNet expands its network in the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico, and the Scoop/Stack play in Oklahoma. The build-out extends coverage into two of the country’s most prolific unconventional drilling regions, growing iNet’s customer footprint.
2018
Apollo Investment
Apollo joins iNet as an investment partner, providing capital and strategic guidance to fuel the company’s continued growth. The partnership strengthens iNet’s balance sheet and supports its evolution into a broader, more diversified connectivity provider.
2019
A Comprehensive Network
iNet’s LTE network now spans more than 130,000 square miles — roughly the size of Japan — across major U.S. oil & gas producing regions, making it the largest private network of its kind in North America.

Mark Slaughter Named CEO
Mark Slaughter is named Chief Executive Officer of iNet. Bringing deep experience in energy and telecommunications leadership, Slaughter takes the helm to guide the company’s next chapter of growth, network expansion, and technology innovation.

Permian Basin Office
iNet strengthens its commitment to the Permian Basin with an expanded regional office in Midland, Texas, centrally positioning the company to support customer and network operations across West Texas and Southeast New Mexico — one of the world’s most active drilling and production regions.

Starlink Reseller
iNet becomes a Tier 1 authorized Starlink reseller and integrator, adding low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity to its solutions portfolio. Paired with iNet’s private LTE network, Starlink delivers faster, more reliable communications for oil & gas operators working in the most remote corners of North America.

Latin America Expansion
iNet expands its advanced connectivity and IoT solutions into Mexico, Central and South America, establishing strategic partnerships in the region and extending private LTE, satellite and managed network offerings to energy and industrial customers operating throughout the region.
2023
EMEA Expansion
iNet extends its footprint into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), anchored by new offices in the United Kingdom and Norway. The expansion brings iNet’s remote connectivity, VSAT and RF solutions to energy, maritime, and other remote enterprise operators across the region.

iNet Launches LEOConnect™
iNet announces a new partnership with OneWeb and unveils LEOConnect™, a proprietary solution combining multiple low-Earth-orbit satellite networks for unmatched reliability, bandwidth and low latency. The launch reinforces iNet’s multi-transport approach, blending LEO, LTE and private networks into one seamless, managed connectivity fabric.

Middle East & Africa Expansion
iNet opens its Middle East region office in Doha, Qatar, marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion. The new hub strengthens field support and delivers secure, reliable connectivity to energy, maritime and other remote industrial operators across the Middle East and Africa.

iNet takes home top honors for Services, Solutions & Scale-Up at the prestigious World Energy Supply Chain Awards, held in conjunction with the Energy Industries Council’s 30th Anniversary Gala in Houston. The company was also a finalist in the Innovation category among more than 140 global submissions.

Asia Pacific Expansion
iNet enters the Asia Pacific region with a new office in Perth, Australia, extending its remote connectivity and managed network solutions to energy, mining and industrial customers across the region’s most challenging operating environments.

iNet unveils its new solutions platform and stg-inetglobals-staging.kinsta.cloud website, unifying Continuum™ connectivity, Sentinel™ security and Nexora™ intelligence into a single engineered system.
